Meet Your Trainer & Care Giver

Kristen – Owner – AKC CGC Evaluator

Animals have been at the center of my life for as long as I can remember, and I’m fortunate to have turned that passion into a career. With over 10 years of professional experience in animal welfare, behavior, training, and medical care, my goal is to help people build confident, lasting relationships with their pets through positive, reward-based training.

Behavior has always been my passion. I love helping owners understand how their dogs think, communicate, and learn, creating training plans that are practical, effective, and tailored to each individual dog. Whether we’re building a foundation in basic obedience, working through behavioral challenges, or preparing for the AKC Canine Good Citizen program, my focus is always on setting both dogs and their owners up for long-term success.

Working in animal welfare has also given me a special place in my heart for rescue dogs. I understand the unique challenges that can come with bringing home a rescue, and I specialize in helping dogs build confidence, learn new routines, and successfully transition into their new homes.

My career has taken me from hands-on animal care to leadership roles as Director of Animal Care and Practice Manager, overseeing the behavior, medical care, and daily needs of shelter animals. I also helped open and manage a general practice animal hospital, giving me extensive experience caring for pets with both medical and behavioral needs.

Whether I’m training your dog, helping your rescue settle into family life, or caring for your pets while you’re away, my goal is to provide knowledgeable, compassionate care while helping every pet and owner thrive together.
