Group Classes
Our Group Training Classes at the Tapply-Thompson Community Center provide a fun, supportive environment where you and your dog can build a strong foundation in obedience while learning to work around the distractions of other dogs and people. With small class sizes and positive reinforcement training, you’ll gain the skills and confidence to continue your training long after class ends.

Prepare for the AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Test in our Level 3 class, with the CGC evaluation included as part of the program.
Safe, positive learning environment designed for dogs that are comfortable working around other dogs and people. For the safety and success of everyone, all participating dogs must be dog friendly.

Level 1: Puppy Class (2-5 Months)
Join our Level 1 Puppy Class and build a strong foundation in obedience through fun, positive reinforcement training. Learn essential skills like sit, down, stay, name recognition, leash manners, polite greetings, leave it, and more while practicing in a supportive group setting with controlled distractions.
When: Sundays, 12:00 – 1:00 PM

Level 1: Adult Class (6+ Months)
Join our Level 1 Adult Class and build a strong foundation in obedience through fun, positive reinforcement training. Level 2: All Ages
Continue building on the foundation established in Level 1 by increasing the difficulty of previously learned skills while introducing new behaviors to improve focus, confidence, and reliability. You’ll strengthen skills like sit, down, stay, recall, leash manners, and polite greetings while learning new behaviors such as place, touch, and impulse control—all in a supportive group setting with controlled distractions.

Level 3: AKC CGC Prep
Take your training to the next level in our Level 3: AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Prep Class. This advanced class focuses on refining and proofing the skills learned in Levels 1 and 2 while preparing you and your dog for the AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Test. Practice real-world obedience, reliable manners, and calm behavior around distractions as you build the confidence and consistency needed to earn your CGC title.

Drop-in Classes
Enjoy the flexibility of our Drop-In Training Classes, where you can choose the topics that interest you most without committing to a multi-week course. Each class focuses on a specific skill—such as recall, leash manners, confidence building, impulse control, puppy socialization, tricks, nose work, cooperative care, pack walks, AKC CGC Club, and more—making it easy to continue your training, reinforce learned behaviors, and keep learning fun for both you and your dog.
