Our services include neighborhood dog walks, potty breaks, hiking adventures, and comprehensive drop-in visits that can be scheduled multiple times throughout the day. During each visit, we ensure your pets receive the care, attention, exercise, and enrichment they deserve while you’re away.

We proudly care for a wide variety of animals, including dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, pocket pets, and farm animals. We also have extensive experience working with pets that have specialized medical or behavioral needs. From administering pills, topical medications, sprays, eye and ear medications, and injections to caring for pets recovering from illness or surgery, we are committed to providing safe, knowledgeable, and compassionate care. Our background includes over a decade of experience supporting animals with complex medical conditions, including advanced nursing care such as tube feeding, giving you peace of mind that your pet is in experienced hands.

Dog Walking

Whether your dog needs a quick potty break, a neighborhood walk, or an adventurous hike, we have an option to fit every lifestyle and energy level! Explore our dog walking services and pricing below, then contact us to schedule your FREE meet & greet.

Potty Break: Perfect for puppies, senior dogs, or pets needing a midday break, our 15-minute Potty Break gives your dog a chance to go outside, stretch their legs, and receive a little extra attention. Meals, medications, and other basic care can also be provided during the visit.
Price: $15 for first dog – additional $5 per dog

Walk: Our 30-minute Walk is perfect for dogs who need exercise, mental stimulation, and a break from the house during the day. We’ll explore your neighborhood at your dog’s pace while reinforcing good leash manners and providing plenty of time to sniff, stretch their legs, and burn off energy.
Price: $25 per walk for 1-2 walks a week
$22 per walk for 3-4 walks a week
$20 per walk for 5 walks a week
$10 for each additional dog

Hike: Our 60-minute Hiking Adventure is perfect for active dogs who love to explore! Your dog will enjoy a fun, enriching hike on local trails, providing plenty of physical exercise, mental stimulation, and opportunities to sniff, explore, and build confidence in the great outdoors.
Price: $50 per hike for 1-3 hikes a week
$45 per hike for 4-5 hikes a week
$15 for each additional dog

Pet Sitting

Leave home with confidence knowing your pets are receiving professional, compassionate care from an experienced pet care provider. Our flexible Drop-In Pet Sitting services are designed to keep your pets happy, healthy, and comfortable in the familiarity of their own home while you’re away. We offer 1–4 visits per day with 20, 30, or 45-minute visit options, allowing us to create a customized care plan that fits your pets’ individual needs and daily routine.

Every visit is tailored to your pet and can include feeding, fresh water, potty breaks, litter box or habitat cleaning, medication administration, enrichment, playtime, companionship, and plenty of love and attention. Dogs can enjoy walks, outdoor play, or backyard exercise, while cats and other pets receive interactive enrichment and individualized care to keep them mentally and physically engaged.

Smith River Pet Care has extensive experience caring for a wide variety of animals, including dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, birds, reptiles, pocket pets, horses, goats, sheep, pigs, chickens, cows, and other farm animals. Whether you have one pet or a multi-species household, you can trust that every member of your family will receive knowledgeable, attentive care.

We also specialize in caring for pets with medical or behavioral needs. With over 10 years of hands-on experience in animal welfare and veterinary medicine, we are comfortable administering oral medications, topical medications, eye and ear medications, injections, and other specialized care. We understand the importance of maintaining your pet’s normal routine, minimizing stress, and recognizing changes in behavior or health, providing you with peace of mind while you’re away.

You’ll receive regular updates with photos so you can stay connected with your pets throughout your time away.
